Business Hours (GMT)
Harpers business hours are 7pm to 10pm (Monday to Wednesday) and 10am
to 6pm (Thursday and Friday). An answer machine service is available
at all times. The website will be available at all times, bar that
required to update the site at the beginning of each new week and
loading of new Harpers Messenger catalogue.

Harpers Messenger
Catalogue subscriptions - 10 updates per anmum -
UK - £10.00
Overseas - £12.00
When new Harpers Messenger catalogues are published, telephone orders
will be accepted between 10am and 10pm (GMT) from catalogue subscribers
only, who will receive catalogues in advance of the new catalogue
being made available via harpers-online.
All Harpers Messenger items are sold on a first come first served
basis. Orders placed by email, answer machine or fax will be dealt
with during the same business hours as mentioned above, and these
orders will be processed by earliest time received. All customers
will be advised if their orders are successful or not.

Harpers-online
On a regular basis, new items of stock will be added to the website,
www.harpers-online.com. These new items may also be new to the latest
Harpers Messenger. Please register your email address to receive notification
of updates to the site. (See left hand margin Email List). Orders
via the website are processed automatically online and are sold on
a first come first served basis. If part or whole exchange is a consideration,
to reserve the item/s, please order the item/s as if purchasing by
Sterling cheque, and contact us to discuss further.

Payments
All payments should be made to
‘Harpers Military Antiques Ltd’, preferably by Sterling cheque or
Sterling bank draft, and should be sent on confirmation of
order. This applies to items purchased via Harpers Messenger,
harpers-online and Murphy's Register.

Credit and debit card payments can only be accepted for
harpers-online and Murphy's Register purchases and are subject to
additional fees levied by Paypal. Our agreement with Paypal for
credit and debit card payments is at the rate of 3.6%, which will
automatically be added to the total payable along with postage and
packaging. We recommend payment by Sterling cheque or Sterling bank
draft, which incur no additional card payment costs.

Telegraphic transfer: We can accept
Sterling payment by telegraphic transfer directly to our bank. Any
charges to Harpers for this service must be covered in advance of
delivery. Bank details are provided below.
All stock prices and commission charges are inclusive of UK VAT, where
applicable.

Shipping
Postage and packaging is charged on all orders, as follows:
UK Inland: £2 for recorded delivery (buyer’s risk); £5
for inland special delivery (inclusive of up to £2500 insurance);
£5 for international recorded airmail (buyers risk), £8
for international registered airmail, where available.
Delivery: Please allow up to 21 days for delivery, especially when
new Harpers Messenger catalogues are out.

Returns Policy
All items are sold as genuine and original unless otherwise stated.
Any items subsequently proven to be false, renamed or not entitled
to clasps may be returned within a month of purchase,
and the purchase price and any charges incurred refunded.

Sales, and Part and Whole Exchanges
We welcome the opportunity to purchase or exchange any medals surplus
to your collection. Payment by Harpers will be immediate. Please see
‘Harpers-online’ above for details on how to deal with
part or whole exchanges involving items sold via harpers-online. For
part or whole exchanges involving items sold in Harpers Messenger,
please contact us by email or telephone to discuss.

Commission Sales
We accept commissioned items for sale via both harpers-online and
Harpers Messenger. Our commission rate is 10% of the selling price.
The 10% is inclusive of UK business tax and VAT payable by Harpers. Harpers
Messenger subscribers are entitled to a commission rate of 8%

Commission Viewing and Bidding at Auction

We attend many medal and militaria auction sales and will be pleased
to offer advice and act as your agent at these events. We offer a
confidential service, acting within your best interests.
We guarantee that Harpers will not bid on its own account
for any item for which we have received a client bid. We
do NOT charge for these services, but require prompt payment in Sterling
within 10 days of notification of success. Postage and packaging will
be arranged separately as noted previously above.

Fairs
We will be attending many
medal and militaria fairs throughout the UK and also OMSA in US, and
items purchased via harpers-online, Harpers Messenger or Murphy's
Register can be collected at these venues. Should you prefer this
route of delivery, please contact us to confirm in advance.

Wants Lists
We welcome your wants lists, but at this time, can only guarantee
a first class service to subscribers to Harpers Messenger. Please
email or post details to us.
